At the proposal of the Ministry of Economy, the Government at today’s session decided to expand the list of products to be sold at prices applied on December 1, 2021 in retail and wholesale. Three basic food products are added to the list, including rice, eggs and pasta, Bekteshi posted on Facebook.
“This decision is aimed at preventing further market disruptions and eliminating the harmful consequences of market disruption in terms of supply of the population with basic food products,” reads the decision, adding that prices of temporary discounts that were valid on December 1, 2021, are excluded.
The prices of the basic food products will be frozen until January 31, 2022.
