VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, asked about the possibility of a one constituency, said that VMRO-DPMNE is ready to discuss democracy and democratic processes in the country, including the topic of the election model, and political parties should show a certain quality.
“VMRO-DPMNE is ready to discuss any topic, especially when it comes to democracy and democratic processes in our Macedonia, including what you now mention, I heard several MPs speak loudly about reform in the electoral model and we are here, we are ready to talk, to see it on the table, to see what the idea is, one, or three, to keep the same model, with a census, what that census would be, etc. There is an electoral threshold because democracy will not win if individuals enter Parliament and use the MP seat as we have now almost witnessed for such an MP for self-bargaining and unprincipled acceptance of offers that have occurred in the past, starting with the trade during the constitutional changes,” Mickoski stressed.
