Several topics were discussed at the General Affairs Council of the European Union yesterday, but not about the enlargement of the European Union.

Namely, the item for the enlargement of the union was not on the agenda of the Council of the EU, and according to the official document on the agenda, there was talk especially about the coronavirus.

The second topic discussed by EU leaders was crisis management, followed by security and defense, the fourth topic of the meeting was migration in the union, while the fifth and last point was discussed on EU external relations.

According to this, nowhere on the agenda was EU enlargement, especially the start of Macedonia’s accession talks with the EU, as many of the SDSM-led government claimed in the past.
