The municipality of Kocani and I as mayor had the opportunity to organize an initiative coordination meeting with mayors from the east, related to recent developments regarding the floods, feeling that there was no support from the central government, we agreed on several things, said Kochani Mayor Ljupcho Papazov.
“First we agreed to establish local crisis headquarters, of regional and municipal character, we determined the operational plan that mapped the critical points that were hit by the floods and we determined the resources we have at our disposal, available equipment and human potential. In the end, we came to the conclusion that a commission for damage assessment should be established and compensation should be sought for them,” added the mayor.
