Acting on the proposal of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption, nine suspects were brought before a pre-trial judge on Wednesday, part for the crime of smuggling, and part for unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.
“After the statement of the competent public prosecutor and the suspects in the presence of their defense counsel regarding the proposal, a pre-trial judge passed decisions accepting the proposal and ordered detention of eight of the suspects for 30 days, while one of the suspects He was remanded in custody for eight days, given that a motion was filed against him in summary proceedings,” the Basic Criminal Court in Skopje announced on Tuesday evening.
The suspects have the right to appeal these decisions before the Criminal Council of the Basic Criminal Court Skopje.
