The Department for Suppression of Organized and Serious Crime at the Ministry of Interior has filed criminal charges against MA (27) and A.H. (20), both from Pakistan, with the competent Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption, due to the existence of grounds on suspicion of having committed the crime of “smuggling of migrants” under Article 418-b of the Criminal Code.
On December 22, 2021, after undertaken measures and activities on the Kumanovo – Tabanovce highway, in abandoned buildings in the village of Gorno Kojnare, Kumanovo, police officers from the Department for Combating Organized and Serious Crime found 40 people – migrants, 21 of whom were from India. , 15 from Syria, two from Pakistan, and one each from Morocco and Turkey. Three of them are minors.
M.A. and A.H. will be brought before a pre-trial judge on Friday, while the other persons have been taken to the Reception Center.
