Gross external debt at the end of September 2021 amounted to 9.87 billion euros or 83.5 percent of projected GDP and recorded a quarterly decrease of 300 million euros.

The larger quarterly reduction of liabilities in relation to receivables led to a reduction of net external debt by 64 million euros, according to the NB.
At the end of September, the net external debt amounted to 3.34 billion euros and amounted to 28.2% of projected GDP.
