The cheap tariff was one of the main points in the SDS program in the 2016 parliamentary elections in the field of energy. While lying to the people that only they cared about it, because without the cheap tariff the pockets of the citizens are empty, they promised that they will return the money to the people, by increasing the period of using the cheap tariff between 2 pm and 4 pm. The people blindly believe the lies and gave their vote to SDSM, said Stevce Antovski from the ranks of VMRO-DPMNE at a press conference.
“But, lies always come out. SDSM’s lie lasted only four years. After increasing the price of electricity by 7.4% in 2020, and in the summer of 2021 by another 12.5%, a new price shock has occurred. Increase by 9.5%, even abolishing the daily cheap tariff. People should know that the 9.5% increase in electricity for households and small consumers is not true. With the abolition of the cheap tariff from 2 pm to 4 pm, the price of electricity will additionally increase by 5-6%, which means that the total increase will be around 15%. And not just that. For small consumers, the increase will be even greater than 15% if we take into account the price of peak power, which is most manipulated. When the January 2022 bill comes to small consumers, then they will get their heads around it and understand what has happened to them, comparing the January bill with the December 2021 bill. The price increase will be much higher than 15%,” says Antovski.
