President Stevo Pendarovski sent a Christmas greeting to the citizens on the occasion of the great Orthodox Christian holiday of the Nativity of Christ – Christmas.

“Respected Fellow Citizens,

Let me congratulate Christmas to all Christians who celebrate today the day of Christ’s birth.

May you spend the days of the holiday in a good mood, peace, tranquility and joy! Christmas is the holiday that we traditionally celebrate with our loved ones, when our homes are filled with people with good thoughts. But, this year we celebrate Christmas in a different atmosphere, caused by the pandemic, and therefore we need to consistently respect the prescribed protective measures.

However, that does not stop us from wishing good things. Let us leave anger and hatred aside. May we communicate with other people with the language of love, forgive and help each other. Let us be in solidarity and united. Only in this way will we be able to emerge victorious not only in the fight against the pandemic, but also in all other problems and difficulties that life brings.

In times like these, we need faith, positive energy and mutual respect. May the Christmas holidays be an additional incentive for us all to persist in all temptations! Let us draw strength, hope and good will from the light and warmth of this holiday in order to create a better present and a happier future. Christ Is Born!,” reads Pendarovski’s message.
