The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) demands from the prime minister-designate Dimitar Kovachevski that the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy (MLSP) be led by a man who, as they say, knows how to solve workers’ problems and indicates that it is time for workers to get a minister. a trade unionist from their ranks “who knows how the social dialogue is conducted”.
“In the past few days we hear talks that for the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy “battles” are being fought with certain coalition partners in the ruling majority. The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia most responsibly claims that the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs should be led by a person who knows how to solve workers’ problems – competence is important, and it is also important to know the processes leading to the adoption of a new Labor Law relations, a new Law on Safety and Health at Work, a new Law on Mobbing, etc., so that it does not happen that these processes, which have been going on for three years, start again and last too long, to the detriment of the workers,” says from SSM.
