Macedonia has no problem with Bulgaria, Bulgaria has a problem with Macedonia. “Let us be more direct, the Macedonians do not have a problem with the Bulgarians, the Bulgarians have a problem with the Macedonians, said VMRO-DPMNE Vice President Aleksandar Nikoloski, during an interview with TV 24.

Nikoloski stressed that Macedonia had a higher goal, and that was the beginning of accession talks with the EU.

“If, in principle, Bulgaria raises some issues, we must also raise issues. For example, there are currently no active rulings by the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg in Macedonia regarding non-compliance with the rights of Bulgarians in Macedonia. However, there are over 10 active verdicts in the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg regarding the disrespect of the rights of Macedonians in Bulgaria. It is Bulgaria’s obligation as a member of the Council of Europe to implement these judgments. Bulgaria does not implement them,” Nikoloski stressed.
