As of Monday, the random screening test begins, which should show whether and what kind of immunity to COVID-19 the population in the country has to help the Commission for Infectious Diseases and the state in planning future measures. The test is planned to be done on a sample of 1,000 respondents in Skopje, but there is an opportunity to expand throughout the country to obtain more realistic data on immunization at this time.
The Commission for Infectious Diseases head AleksandarPetlichkovski informed last week that such a test was done a year ago and it showed that about 30 percent of the respondents were seropositive, i.e. they had some immunity, which was due exclusively to the disease.
Health Minister BekimSali announced a serological analysis of the entire territory of the country.
