Head of the State Commission for Prevention of Corruption (SCPC) Biljana Ivanovska in an interview with TV21 said that the commission is investigating vouchers in sports due to high risks of corruption.

According to Ivanovska, sport is placed at high risk of corruption, especially in terms of funding.

“The distribution of vouchers where it comes to high amounts, around 10 million euros. An amount that, in the history of our country, is the highest so far,” said Ivanovska.

“A direct reference has been made in the Law, the Law on who should be a member of that central commission has been changed, unlike the previous decision when the director should form that commission of experts from the field, now it is proposed by the Government and we saw here “a direct political issue in the distribution of funds,” said Ivanovska.
