Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani said that the country will be part of the EU sanctions against Russia.
Talking to Alsat TV, Osmani said that in the event of a conflict in Europe, we would have implications for gas and oil and an increase in prices.
According to the minister him, this conflict should have been feared two years ago, when the country was not part of NATO.
“The Russian-Ukrainian conflict will affect the implications of gas and oil, and prices in Europe will rise. I also want to add that we as a country are part of the EU sanctions against Russia and we are 100% in harmonization with the European Union,” said Osmani.
The EU unanimously decided on sanctions against Russia Tuesday afternoon after Moscow’s decision yesterday to recognize the independence of the two regions in eastern Ukraine, Donetsk and Luhansk.
