Ten people were arrested as part of the police raid conducted by the Ministry of Interior under the direction of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, and an international criminal group for illegal drug trafficking was suppressed.
The Ministry of Interior informs that several sectors were involved in the raid.
“About 40 kilograms of marijuana worth over 200,000 euros were seized in the police raid. This suppressed an international criminal group in which, in addition to our citizens, Albanian and Kosovo citizens also participated, who were involved in illicit trade and sale of narcotic drugs, by organizing the transport of marijuana from Albania through Kosovo to our country, for further transport to Turkey.
The PPO says that today the Public Prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption will issue an Order for conducting an investigation against the ten persons for a crime – Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors.
