In Macedonia, the unemployment rate is decreasing and this is shown by the data of the State Statistical Office (SSO).
Unemployment is at an all-time low of 15.2 percent. Unemployment in the fourth quarter of 2021 is at its lowest level in independent economic history at 15.2 percent. Compared to the same period in 2020, it has decreased by 5.6 percent.
With the growth of investments, the employment rate is projected to increase to 54.3 percent in 2026, and the unemployment rate to enter the single-digit zone by 2026 for the first time from 8.6 percent.
