The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says that “as a friend of Ukraine, we have an understanding of the complex situation in which Ukraine finds itself and which puts the Ukrainian authorities in a special position to call for any kind of assistance, in all friendly countries, including escorts, and/or volunteers who would join the Ukrainian army in defense against the military threat posed by the Russian military”.

In today’s press release, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminds the citizens of Macedonia that joining any foreign army, according to the legal regulations, namely the Criminal Code of the country, is a crime.

“At the same time, we want to remind that the Republic of North Macedonia fully condemns Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, and the country demonstrates this in the UN, NATO, OSCE and all other bilateral and multilateral forums,” the Foreign Ministry said in a press release.
