Annual growth of 6.1% on total deposits in February

Total deposits in February, on annual basis, increased by 6.1%, as a result of the growth of deposits in both sectors, with higher contribution of the household sector.

On annual basis, total credits increased by 8.9%, as a result of the increased crediting of both sectors, which is more pronounced in the corporate sector.

In February 2022, the money supply (monetary aggregate M3 1,2) decreased by 0.5% on a monthly basis, primarily as a result of the decrease in deposit money3, amid a decline in long-term deposits of up to two years, in conditions of growth of short-term deposits. The annual growth is 6.8% and is mostly a result of the increased short-term deposits, and to a lesser extent the deposit money, amid a decline in long-term deposits of up to two years. Cash in circulation is almost unchanged on a monthly and annual basis.
