The crisis in the textile industry is over. The demand for textile products is growing in Europe, the number of orders is increasing in Macedonia. The demands are so great that at the moment they can hardly be met. One of the reasons is the reduction in the number of employees last year, when this industry was in crisis.

Now that there are orders, apart from the shortage of workers and the increased costs of electricity and energy, they are a serious obstacle. Macedonian companies demand higher prices from their partners, but they do not fully follow the growth of production costs.

After exiting the COVID-19 crisis, the European fashion industry is faced with another crisis yet again, but now because of the war in Ukraine. It will be seriously felt in the EU and the UK, which last year alone exported clothes and textiles worth more than 1.3 billion euros to Ukraine.
