Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European Affairs BojanMarichikj met with Minister of Federal, European and International Affairs in the government of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Stephan Holthoff-Pförtner.
At the meeting with Minister Holthoff-Pförtner, Marichikj expressed gratitude for the commitment of the German Government to the European perspective of North Macedonia, especially at a time when the continent is facing geopolitical challenges.
Holthoff-Pförtner reaffirmed the country’s progress in reforms and that Macedonia has long deserved to start negotiations with the Union. He also expressed hope that the negotiations with Bulgaria will be successful, just like with Greece, and in this time of global challenges, all together will prove that the EU is the only option for the countries in the region.
