Family members reacted to the decision not to discuss the tragedy in Bulgaria in the parliamentary inquiry commission. For that purpose, we asked the Inquiry Commission to hold a session on human rights and freedoms in Parliament.

“We, the families of the victims who lost their lives in the bus tragedy in Bulgaria, are only seeking the truth and justice for our loved ones. But today we received an answer that this meeting was canceled by Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi,” the victims’ families wrote.

According to them, such decisions are an attempt to hide the tragedy. They stress that Xhaferi has aggravated their pain even more and publicly ask him ‘why the truth bothers him, who he wants to protect and why he does not allow a parliamentary investigation’.
