The Prosecution for Organized Crime has requested the detention of Muhamed Zeqiri, Secretary General of the Government, as well as two other defendants. The proposal will be submitted to the Criminal Court, which should decide whether to accept it.
“Considering that there is a real danger that the suspects will flee, especially since the two are foreign nationals, given the crime they are charged with, as well as the danger that if the suspects defend themselves at large they will destroy the traces or influence on potential witnesses or to repeat the crime, the public prosecutor will submit to the Preliminary Procedure Judge at the Basic Criminal Court Skopje a proposal for determining a detention measure for the three suspects,” announced the Prosecutor’s Office.
A case public prosecutor from the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Organized Crime and Corruption issued an Order for conducting an investigation procedure against two Croatian citizens and one citizen of RNM.
