The strike of the employees in education and preschools continues, confirmed on Sunday the SONK President Jakim Nedelkov, who informed that they received a verbal offer from the Government to increase salaries by 10 percent with the Budget review in May or June.

“A 10 percent wage increase does not correspond at all to an increase in the minimum wage and is not an appropriate incentive to restore dignity,” the union leader said.

Nedelkov pointed out that the agreement must first be signed in order to continue the educational process and apologize to the parents of school and preschool children.

For now, the request for a linear salary increase of 18.4 percent remains, and whether the threshold can be reduced will be decided by the membership.
