VMRO-DPMNE leader Hristijan Mickoski, asked by the media regarding the statement of Bulgarian PM Kiril Petkov for possible removal of the veto and inclusion of Bulgarians in the Macedonian Constitution, said that this is what VMRO-DPMNE has been saying for months that our bilateral problems and all those demands that official Sofia has will enter the negotiating framework, which means that either we will assimilate or we will become Bulgarian and as such we will enter the European Union, or there will be no European Union for us, despite the fact that the first intergovernmental conference.
“If you read that statement made by Kiril Petkov precisely, you will see that what he is saying is already being said by us as VMRO-DPMNE and me personally for months, and that is that our bilateral problems and all the demands that official Sofia has will enter the negotiating framework. Which means that either we will assimilate or Bulgarianize and as such we will enter the European Union, or there is no European Union for us,” said Mickoski.
