The announced late cut of unproductive spending with the budget rebalance is pure manipulation of the public and recognition that this Government does not work properly and in the interest of the citizens, said VMRO-DPMNE in a press release on Tuesday.
“The question is: Why were these 100 million euros planned for unproductive spending in the midst of a crisis? Let us remind you that the budget was adopted in December 2021 amid the energy crisis and high inflation. The opposition then made it clear that the budget was wasteful and unrealistic, with unproductive spending. And now, the announced reduction of these funds is a clear acknowledgment of the government that it neither thought nor created timely measures to protect the living standards of citizens, but planned funds in the budget for unproductive spending, ie corruption and crime. The measures praised by this disastrous government came after the reactions of the public and the opposition that nothing is being done to deal with the energy crisis and high inflation. At the same time, the announced spending cut is from the historically highest budget in 2022, which is based on the budget in 2021,” said the party.
