New additional 76 million euros for measures for protection of the standard of the citizens and support of the economy are provided with the supplementary budget, as means for protection or reserve and in case of need will be included in a new package of measures. Additional 52 million euros are provided for subsidies for farmers, informed Minister of Finance Fatmir Besimi on Saturday.
The supplementary budget provides funds for increasing the pensions of pensioners, salaries for teachers, subsidies for raising the minimum wage, both in the public and private sector, etc.
Economic growth for this year is projected at 3.2 percent, which is a decrease of 1.4 percentage points in terms of macroeconomic projections when the Budget was created. Demand is expected to be the main driver of growth, with private consumption projected to grow by 3.3 percent.
