In the negotiations for a new General Collective Agreement for the public sector, it was accepted that the linear increase of salaries by at least 2,806 denars will happen with the budget rebalance, as we were convinced by the Government, but unfortunately it turns out that it was just buying time and playing with the fate of 130 thousand workers in the country at a time when the economic, energy crisis and inflation are eating away at workers’ wages, reacts the SSM.
“If no agreement is reached for 2,806 denars now, from September it will be 18.4 percent, i.e. as much as the minimum wage has increased according to law, where the 6-month deadline must be met, for which the Government clearly stated that in within 6 months, the other salaries will be harmonized and there will be no going back!”, underlines the SSM press release.
