At the moment, the most current European perspective of Macedonia, the situation with European integration, international relations, as here the dispute with the Republic of Bulgaria is inevitable, but also the rule of law and the fight against organized crime and corruption as two basic foundations on which Macedonia’s progress is based, Vice President of VMRO-DPMNE Aleksandar Nikoloski pointed out during VMRO-DPMNE’s forum in Bitola.
“Unfortunately, Macedonia has not progressed in recent years, and unfortunately Macedonia stands still. There are at least two reasons, one of which is certainly the veto that Bulgaria puts on Macedonia’s European integration. I call on Bulgaria to gather courage and strength and at the next summit to be held in a few weeks in Luxembourg to lift that infamous veto on the start of Macedonia’s accession talks with the EU and Macedonia to start negotiations with the EU, because, above all, the citizens of Macedonia deserve it,” Nikoloski said.
