Albanian police have arrested two people in connection with the seizure of 45.5kg of cocaine in the port city of Durres, with North Macedonia as the final destination.
The arrested men are 30-year-old Arben Ferizi, a resident of Pristina and administrator of the company Appetite Group, which ordered the shipment-container of chicken meat from Brazil, where the drugs were found, and 39-year-old Egert Vargu, a resident of Tirana, a customs agent contracted by Appetite Group.
The container ship in Durres arrived on June 12th from the Greek port of Piraeus and set sail from Durres on June 13th. According to the information received through operational means, the Albanian police started a detailed control late Wednesday afternoon.
