A total of 600 individual farmers and fifty other agrarian companies for the first three months of this year insured their crops, fruits and animals, according to the Insurance Supervision Agency (ISA).

“Soon agricultural insurance will become mandatory by law and therefore its share in the insurance market will increase significantly. The purpose of this reform is to significantly reduce the price of insurance by increasing the mass, and at the same time with the accumulation of funds of the insured-farmers to create large funds from which damages will be paid that can cause weather disasters and especially current climate change,” said the Agency.
