On Saturday (July 2, 2022) at a place called Klisura on the A1 highway, near the southern town of DemirKapija, police officers from the Police Station for the Bogorodica border crossing deprived them of their freedom from S.R. aged 22 from the village of Brest, municipality of ChucherSandevo, and 25-year-old E.J. from the Skopje village of Arachinovo, due to suspicion of illegal transfer of migrants.
During an inspection, 14 migrants were found in an Audi vehicle with Skopje license plates, which was driven by S.R., and E.J. was a passenger, six citizens each of Syria and Pakistan and two from Afghanistan.
Earlier, at 6:30 p.m., on the A1 highway in the direction from Prdejci to DemirKapija, the vehicle did not stop at a stop sign by police officers, and when it was stopped – the driver, the passenger and the migrants tried to escape, but were caught and arrested.
