At Wednesday’s meeting, the Infectious Diseases Commission reviewed the conclusions of the National Immunization Commission, regarding the start of vaccination with the fourth dose of the vaccine against COVID-19. The fourth dose can be received by persons over 18 years of age, who have already received three doses of the vaccine. As of Wednesday, citizens can go and get vaccinated at the all vaccination points, without making an appointment beforehand.

Vaccination with the fourth dose is planned to be carried out with Pfizer’s or Moderna’s mRNA vaccine. The recommended interval between the third and fourth, i.e. booster dose, is at least four months and is especially recommended for chronically ill patients, dialysis patients, transplant patients, oncology patients and others, as well as for people over 60 years of age.
