The leader of the Alliance for Albanians Ziyadin Sela said that Macedonia “must accept the French proposal after the removal of Bulgaria’s veto in order to open negotiations with the EU”.
In an interview with the Albanian television Ora News, Sela added that Albanians should not be held hostage to conflicts that are recycled and repeated every four to five years.
“This is a table offering that should be taken very seriously. The decision is not whether or not to accept the package or the French proposal, but the choice that North Macedonia must make is whether or not to continue the European path. If they ask us, we have openly stated our position. We are in favor of continuing this journey through the acceptance of the French proposal. Albanians cannot be held hostage to conflicts that are recycled and repeated every four or five years,” said Sela.
