We are expecting a very difficult and unpredictable winter in terms of energy, which does not depend only on North Macedonia or the countries of the region, but depends on how the situation with the war in Ukraine will unfold. Electricity restrictions are not expected, even if we have a ban on the import of electricity and gas into the country. In August, we will again request the declaration of a state of crisis in the electricity sector in order to have the opportunity to intervene through additional measures to increase production from domestic capacities, said the Macedonian Minister of Economy, Kreshnik Bekteshi, at Friday’s media briefing about the following steps and measures that will be taken in order to mitigate price shocks for citizens.
