According to the way households are supplied with drinking water, over 91 percent use water from public taps, while over 12,000 or over two percent of households use bottled drinking water, the fourth set of data from the Census of Population, Households and Housing 2021, published on Wednesday by the State Statistics Office (SSO).
Out of a total of 598 632 households, the majority or 547 114 have water in the apartment with a connection from a public water supply, 1 674 have a tap in the yard connected to a public water supply, 567 have water from a street tap with water from a public water supply.
