The Crisis Management Center (CMC) informs that there is an active fire this morning. In the last 24 hours, 20 fires were extinguished.
The forest fire is active in Ohrid, between the villages of Vapila and Rasino. A degraded forest is burning, so far about 12 hectares of land have burnt down.
The Ohrid fire department is still on the ground Tuesday with 1 vehicle and 6 firefighters. As of 5am, a total of about 50 people are on the ground. The fire is burning on three sides and efforts are being made to bypass it, but due to the difficult terrain, extinguishing it is difficult, says the CMC.
