Foreign exchange reserves at the end of July, 2022 amounted to about 3.2 billion euros and compared to the previous month, they recorded an increase of 80.5 million euros.
Most of the foreign exchange reserves are invested in securities (70.3%), followed by currencies and deposits (17.7%) and monetary gold (12.0%).
Foreign exchange reserves, according to the National Bank, are maintained in the safe zone, and their level meets the requirements for adequacy according to international standards. The high level of foreign exchange reserves in the pre-pandemic period and the further growth in the two years of the pandemic contribute to this.
