In response to a media question, the Macedonian Vice Prime Minister for European integration Bojan Marichikj said on Wednesday that the state institutions in N. Macedonia and Bulgaria will need two years of coordination to implement the recommendations of the Bulgarian-Macedonian historical mixed committee.

On Monday, the Joint Historical Commission through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs published a joint declaration on honoring the medieval characters Tsar Samuel, Saints Cyril and Methodius, Saints Clement and Saint Naum, as well as corrections from the medieval period in the Bulgarian Macedonian elementary school textbooks.

“There are many procedures that will have to be done, but it is important for us that the results are transferred to society without losing our interest,” Marichikj said.
