- The number of workers in the industry in July this year compared to July last year decreased by 0.6 percent, and by 1.7 percent in the period January – July this year compared to the same period of 2021. According to the data of the State Statistics Office, the number of workers in the Mining and Quarrying sector in July 2022, compared to July 2021, recorded a decrease of 2.5 percent, in the Manufacturing Industry by 0.4 percent, and in the sector Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply down 1.4 percent.
According to the main industrial groups, the number of workers in the industry in July 2022, compared to July 2021, recorded a decrease in Energy by 5.5 percent and Non-durable consumer goods by 3.5 percent, while an increase was recorded in Intermediate products, except energy by 0.6 percent, Capital goods by 4 percent and Consumer durables by 0.5 percent.
