Within the “Wine Vision by Open Balkan” fair, North Macedonia, Serbia and Albania signed an Agreement on food security on Friday.
As the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Ljupcho Nikolovski announced on Facebook, the Agreement will allow the member countries of the Open Balkans to help each other in case of interruption of the food supply chains as a result of the global crisis.
“The agreement is just the beginning of a much bigger idea, which is the development of a comprehensive action plan for long-term food security, which is projected until 2030. We reaffirm solidarity as a basic principle of the Open Balkan, strengthen regional cooperation, open borders for uninterrupted trade and enable a stable and uninterrupted flow in the supply of basic agricultural and food products without any restrictions,” said Minister Nikolovski.
