Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski welcomed the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová, who is paying an official visit to the Republic of North Macedonia, with the highest state and military honors.
“I have the exceptional honor, on the eve of our most significant national holiday, to host the Slovak president, my respected colleague Zuzana Čaputová. The friendship between our two countries is based on mutual support and respect, cooperation in areas of common interest, but above all, on deep cultural ties, for which the legacy of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius is most worthy. That heritage reminds us of the common past, but it also points us to the common European future, as a kind of mission of unification, exactly like that of the all-Slavic educators of the time. I want to thank you for the constant and extremely loud Slovak support for Macedonian European integration. Just when it was the most difficult, Slovakia, as a true friend, supported us in all situations, without calculations,” said Pendarovski.
