There will be subsidies for flights according to the state aid rules of the European Union. The Ministry of Transport and Communications submitted to the Government a new decree defining a new model for the distribution of financial support for airlines, informed the Macedonian Minister of Transport and Communications BlagojBochvarski.
“It will be made possible to include as many operators as possible and not be tied to just one. We are also limiting the intensity of subsidies as required and requested by the European Commission, all in order to enable as many destinations as possible for citizens and to develop air traffic,” says Minister Bochvarski.
The minister expects the public international call to be published during this upcoming autumn and for a larger number of interested companies to apply.
