Public Prosecutor of the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje filed an Indictment against two persons, one of whom is charged with a crime – Fraud from Article 247 paragraph 4 in connection with paragraph 1 and for a continued crime – Forgery of a document from Article 378 paragraph 3 and paragraph 1 , while the other person is charged with a continuing criminal offense – Abuse of official position and authority in accordance with Article 353 paragraph 3 in connection with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
On June 16, 2021, the first defendant, using a false identity and ID card in someone else’s name, entered into an agreement to rent a Mercedes Benz s300 bluetech hybrid vehicle with a rental car agency from Belgrade, Republic of Serbia. He falsely represented that he intended to return the car in one month, although he did not intend to rent it, but to take it away and obtain an illegal property benefit of considerable value. The rental vehicle, via Kosovo and Macedonia, on 21.06 he took it to an unknown location in the Republic of Bulgaria.
