The position of the head of state Stevo Pendarovski is that in the next 14 months, the screening is absolutely the most important political priority for us. Let’s tackle reforms, Pendarovski stressed, because we have a lot of homework on that front.
“I do not think that changing the Constitution today or in the coming months should be a political priority of the Government. But if the Government, which has a majority in the Parliament, thinks otherwise, they cannot say no. I think that we should focus on the things that, while we were negotiating and waiting for the past two years to somehow overcome the Bulgarian blockade, here some things did not go well, especially in the area of the rule of law and the fight against high corruption”, said President Pendarovski in an interview with TV 24.
Pendarovski added that he plans to travel to Sofia at President Radev’s invitation.
