Excavator 630/2, which is mining coal at the lowest point in the PJS Suvodol mine in the country’s main energy facility REK Bitola, has been suspended since Saturday afternoon due to the heavy rains that affected the mine, the ESM informed on Saturday evening.
The company states that the excavator 630/2 is at the lowest point in PJS Suvodol, because it is excavating the last quantities of coal in that part of the mine, after which it will be moved to another location according to the work plan.
The company expects that the excavator will be back in operation in a few days.
The excavator unit 630/2 is one of the four excavator units that are currently working in PJS Suvodol for coal mining.
