My country is a rare example in the Balkans where violence, wars and economic pressures and the rule that the stronger wins were not the case, Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski said during a lecture at Columbia University.
During his presentation, Kovachevski stressed that N. Macedonia gained its independence peacefully, by finding solutions through diplomatic efforts.
“If you want to find a place in the world where diplomatic efforts are used, then it is North Macedonia. All the agreements we made in the country and with the neighbors are functional and sustainable. It gave the country the opportunity to advance in achieving its strategic goals,” PM Kovachevski said.
