The depopulation and euthanization of pigs in the Karbina-Shtip region due to African plague has begun. Since the appearance of the first case in the country, so far 3102 animals have been depopulated and euthanized, and it is expected that, given the number of farms in this region, the number will double.
The director of the Agency for Food and Veterinary Medicine Nikolce Babovski stressed on Saturday in Shtip that the Agency acts within the framework of the legal provisions and the Rulebook for measures to eradicate African swine fever.
