With the unprovoked aggression against Ukraine, the Russian Federation flagrantly violated the Charter of the United Nations, as well as the norms and principles of international law, assessed Macedonian Prime Minister Dimitar Kovachevski in his address at the 77th General Assembly of the United Nations (UN) in New York.
“The Russian Federation must immediately stop its aggression and withdraw its troops from Ukraine,” the PM said.
According to Kovachevski, this will pave the way for a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
Kovachevski also referred to the uncertainty in the supply of food and energy in the world, which, as he said, “will deepen the differences at the global level between the rich North and the poor South and bring millions of people to the brink of basic existence, even in danger of famine”.
