The opposition party Levica has submitted a proposal for submitting a citizens’ initiative for a referendum. The people should have their say when it comes to matters of national interest, said party leader DimitarApasiev.
Levica has announced a complete blockade of the Parliament, if Parliament Speaker TalatXhaferi rejects this Initiative as well. The party says that they have an agreement with VMRO-DPMNE and, as announced by Levica MP BorislavKrmov, “together we will lead to a complete paralysis of the Legislature”.VMRO-DPMNE will also support the initiative of the Left for a referendum, the leader of the party HristijanMickoski said earlier.
At least one hundred signatures are required for the Initiative to be submitted to the Parliament.
