Pendarovski meets with Ursula von der Leyen


Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski met with the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on Saturday in Sofia.
At the meeting, the current energy crisis was discussed, with President Pendarovski expressing his expectation for help from the European Commission in the context of European solidarity in dealing with the crisis.
The interlocutors also discussed the course of the screening process as an important stage in the accession negotiations for membership of the Republic of North Macedonia in the European Union.
President Pendarovski stressed that the country is ready to make the necessary reforms in key areas, as part of the accession process.
